The Thomas Wathen Foundation, located at historic Flabob Airport, the home of EAA Chapter 1, has provided financial support since the inception of Aerosholars beginning in 2004. Their support has provided for the continued development and dissemination of Aeroscholars, online aviation science courses for high school students. Aeroscholars has students in all 50 states and 6 foreign countries. Their support has also provided for the training of facilitators throughout the country, who support students involved in Aeroscholars. In addition, scholarships are also provided to students taking Aeroscholars in Southern California.
Garmin Corporation supports students in the Olathe, Kansas area. This support allows 30 students to take both the Introduction to Aviation Science and Advanced Aviation Science, and receive 6 university credits through Utah Valley University.
